FUSION IS EVERYTHING

Each Piece, A World

Ryoko’s choreographic language is fusion not by trend, but by truth. Drawing from her classical foundation, her passion for salsa, and the many musical worlds she explores, each piece is a distilled expression of feeling, form and lived experience.

The works you’ll find here are handpicked by Ryoko herself pieces that carry memory, message, and the signature balance of technique and emotion. Stories chosen to tell when words weren’t enough.

When No One Is Listening

When no one is listening,
the body becomes the brush
painting truths across the air
that lips were too tired to speak.

Feet tap out secrets
that never made it to letters.
Arms arc through memories
we were told to forget.

Fusion
not as a style,
but as survival.
A meeting place for all we’ve carried:
grace and grit,
discipline and defiance,
roots and wings.

We stitch our stories into motion
ballet bones with street-slick rhythm,
soulful spirals in between structured turns.
Everything we were told didn’t belong
lives here,
moves here,
belongs here.

Because even when no one is watching,
and silence folds in like a fog
the dance listens.
The floor remembers.
And movement becomes
the loudest, truest thing
we've ever said.
